Interacting Spiral Galaxies NGC 2207 and IC 2163

These two galaxies are in the early stages of galactic collision. Some astronomers say that our galaxy The Milky Way may collide with the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) in approx 3-4.5 billion years time and become one elliptical galaxy.

Black Eye Galaxy M64

The outer regions of interstellar gas in this galaxy rotate in the opposite direction to the stars and gases of the inner region, making The Black Eye galaxy rather unusual. This is thought to have been caused by this galaxy colliding with another smaller one, with the Black Eye effectively destroying or assimilating the smaller one.

Just wanted to share a little proof that I haven't abandoned my traditional art entirely.

PLEASE keep in mind that this is in progress, there will be plenty of tweaking, corrections and general slogging to be performed before I submit it properly :w00t:
